San Francisco committee discusses $3.5M relief fund for Teravel businesses impacted by SFMTA

Similarly, Guru Langani from the Matrion expressed frustration over the prolonged wait for resolutions following the APEC challenges, indicating that many businesses are on the brink of closure due to financial strain.

The meeting also featured a commitment from city officials to increase funding aimed at supporting affected businesses. A proposal was made to amend the budget, raising the appropriation from $2.25 million to $3.5 million. This includes $500,000 allocated to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) for parking and transit services, and $3 million designated for a relief fund targeting businesses in the South of Market (SoMa) area and those impacted by transit projects.

Officials stressed the importance of not pitting small businesses against one another, advocating for a unified approach to support all merchants affected by city projects.
