San Francisco's DOS honors employees Joel Scott, Min Yi Zhan, and Simon Tan for excellence

The San Francisco Department of Elections will enhance voter engagement by setting up a monthly information table at the Department of Human Services (DOS) hub starting February 7, 2025. The table will be available from 10 AM to 2 PM, providing resources to promote voter registration.

During the meeting, the DOS recognized outstanding employees for their contributions. Joel Scott, a human service technician, was honored for his exceptional work with the Adult Protective Services (APS) team. Additionally, Minnie Zhang and Simon Tan were recognized as employees of the month for their roles in the Clinical and Quality Improvement unit. Their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic included organizing public health initiatives and supporting clients transitioning to independent living.

The meeting also featured a report from the DOS advisory council, presented by President Diane Lawrence, focusing on discussions from their January meeting. The council's work emphasizes the importance of community engagement and support for vulnerable populations in San Francisco.
