Mission District restaurant applies for LLP permit to host live music events

The City of San Francisco held a meeting on July 4, 2025, where various agenda items were discussed, including a presentation from a local restaurant seeking a new permit. The restaurant, which has been operating in the Mission District since 2014, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

During the meeting, the restaurant's representative introduced architect Mark De Milan, who has been assisting with city planning and permit navigation. The restaurant is applying for a Limited Live Performance (LLP) permit to allow recorded sound and live performances in both their patio and indoor spaces. They emphasized their commitment to compliance, especially during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced them to adapt their operations.

The proposed hours for recorded music are from 12 PM to 3 PM and from 5 PM to 10 PM, with a hard stop for indoor music at 11 PM and outdoor music at 10 PM. Live performances, including traditional music by local artist Joe Cruz, are scheduled from 6 PM to 10 PM, with a monthly R&B night also planned. The restaurant aims to host culturally significant celebrations in July, September, and December, reflecting their community's heritage.

The meeting concluded with a focus on the restaurant's efforts to enhance its offerings while adhering to city regulations, highlighting the importance of community engagement and cultural representation in San Francisco's vibrant dining scene.
