Legacy Foundation secures $205K for scholarships and homeownership assistance in San Francisco

The City of San Francisco is set to enhance educational opportunities for local students through a new scholarship program, as outlined in a recent government meeting. The initiative, spearheaded by the Legacy Foundation, aims to launch an application website by January 2022, with a deadline for submissions in April 2022. Scholarships will be disbursed in August 2022, aligning with the upcoming academic year.

To date, the Legacy Foundation has made significant contributions, awarding $25,000 to Urban Ed Academy and $180,000 to the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development for a homeownership down payment assistance program.
