Fire Station 35 becomes fully operational with new crews and equipment

Fire Station 35 in San Francisco is now fully operational, marking a significant milestone for the city's emergency services. During a recent government meeting, officials confirmed that while the new facility is actively serving the community, minor issues are still being addressed as part of the standard adjustment period for new buildings.

Fire Station 35 is staffed by a four-member crew on Engine 35 and a three-member crew for the fireboat, which includes a pilot, an engineer, and an officer. Currently, one of the fireboats, the Saint Francis, is fully operational, while the Phoenix is undergoing repairs and is expected to return to service by late July. The Guardian, however, remains out of operation.

Additionally, discussions included the status of the old Fire Station 49 located at 1450 Evans Street. Officials are in the process of determining a new name for this facility, indicating ongoing efforts to enhance the city's fire service infrastructure.
