Despite these challenges, staff at the Richmond Senior Center demonstrated resilience by adapting service delivery methods, utilizing virtual platforms, and providing meal and grocery deliveries to maintain community engagement. The Department of Aging and Disability Services (DOS) has been actively involved since September 2022, addressing frustrations from the center's leadership regarding the construction's impact on their ability to serve the community effectively.
