Saint Francis Square resident highlights tree safety concerns during public hearing

Height, who identifies as an environmentalist and a mother, recounted a harrowing experience during last year's heavy rains. While walking with her two-year-old child, a large branch from a tree fell just moments after they passed by, narrowly avoiding a serious accident. She also highlighted a separate incident where a tree fell on Rosa Parks Elementary School, emphasizing the potential dangers posed by the city's trees during storms.

The meeting underscored the critical need for better management of urban trees to ensure public safety, particularly in light of recent weather events.
