San Francisco Unified School District is now accepting applications for the prestigious Superintendent's 20 First Century Award scholarships, which will grant $2,000 to six deserving graduating seniors. This initiative, in partnership with SPARK SF Public Schools, aims to recognize students who embody the qualities outlined in the San Francisco Unified graduate profile, which emphasizes essential knowledge, skills, and behaviors for success in the modern world.
The application deadline is set for Friday, March 18, 2022, at 5 PM, and all seniors are encouraged to apply, regardless of their citizenship status. Award recipients will not only receive financial support but will also be honored in a ceremony in May and featured on ABC Channel 7 news, highlighting their achievements.
In addition to the scholarship announcement, the district is also opening a second round of enrollment applications for the 2022-2023 school year, available until May 2, 2022. Families who missed the initial application period can still apply, but those who submitted a main round application must wait for their offer letters, expected the week of March 21, before applying for round two. School offer letters for round two applicants will be sent out the week of May 30, 2022.
