Supervisor Marr approves $45K lease with Christ Church Lutheran for community space

In a recent San Francisco County government meeting, officials discussed a lease agreement for classroom space from a local church, highlighting the collaboration between community organizations and government entities. The proposed lease involves approximately 2,200 square feet of space at an annual cost of $45,000, with a 3% annual increase. This agreement is seen as a significant step in utilizing community resources effectively.

Director Penick presented amendments to the original resolution, correcting the annual rent from $42,000 to $45,000 and adjusting the monthly rate and annual increase accordingly. Supervisor Marr expressed gratitude for the efforts of the Director and Captain Falzone, emphasizing the importance of this project for the community. He noted that the leaders of Christ Church Lutheran had engaged with other churches in the Sunset District to explore better utilization of their spaces for community service.
