The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is enhancing public participation by holding hybrid meetings that allow both in-person attendance and remote access. This initiative aims to ensure equitable public access, a key priority for the board.
During these meetings, public comment will be taken on each agenda item, starting with those present in person. After in-person comments, the board will open the floor to individuals joining via telephone. Residents can participate by calling (415) 655-0001 and entering the meeting ID 24927705750. While on the line, participants will be muted until their item is called, at which point they can press 3 to join the speaker line.
For those unable to attend or call in, written comments can be submitted via email to the rules committee clerk or mailed to City Hall. This approach not only facilitates direct engagement but also ensures that all voices in the community can be heard, regardless of their ability to attend in person.
The board's commitment to accessible governance reflects a broader goal of fostering community involvement in local decision-making processes. As these hybrid meetings continue, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the various options available to share their thoughts and concerns.
