Public Safety Committee approves beer and wine license for Willow on the Green

Officer Salmasen from the San Francisco Police Department's Alcohol Beverage Control liaison unit presented the case, noting that there were no letters of protest or support regarding the application. He highlighted the location's classification as a high crime area and high saturation zone but confirmed that the alcohol liaison unit recommended approval of the license.

The applicant, Sinclair Suarez, expressed enthusiasm for the license, emphasizing the establishment's unique position as the only British cheese shop on the West Coast and the community's interest in low alcohol by volume ales. Supervisor Melgar, representing District 7, voiced support for the application.

After confirming there were no public comments, the committee moved to a vote. Chair Stephanie proposed a resolution to approve the issuance of the liquor license, which passed unanimously with two ayes, as Vice Chair and Gardo was excused from the meeting.

With no further items on the agenda, the meeting concluded, marking the end of the committee's business for the year. The approved resolution will be forwarded to the full Board of Supervisors for consideration.
