Hakim seeks approval for Wally's Deli at O'Farrell Street location

He noted that the reopening of the Hilton hotel could also boost local tourism, which has been impacted by the pandemic.

The proposed market aims to fill a critical gap in the area, offering fresh produce, deli meats, and other healthy options in a community that has largely relied on frozen and prepackaged foods. Hakim stressed that this market would serve both local residents and tourists, providing a much-needed one-stop shopping hub.

With nearly 40 years of experience in the neighborhood, Wally's has built a strong reputation, receiving unanimous approval for their conditional use permit and facing no complaints from local authorities.
