Utah House passes multiple bills including health education and clean air tax credits

The Utah Senate made significant strides during the recent legislative session, passing multiple key bills that address various state issues. Among the highlights was the unanimous approval of Fifth Substitute Senate Bill 85, which focuses on expungement of protective orders and stalking injunctions. Senator Wyler, who sponsored the bill, noted that technical changes made in the House were crucial for its passage, and the bill received overwhelming support with 23 votes in favor and none against.

In addition to this, the Senate also passed Third Substitute Senate Bill 51, which includes transportation amendments. This bill clarifies emissions exemptions for vintage vehicles, allowing pre-1980 models to be exempt and setting conditions for newer vintage vehicles.
