Utah Senate confirms three new judges including Jay Windward and Amy Oliver

The governor also appointed Amy Oliver as a judge of the Utah Court of Appeals. Jason Nelson was appointed as a judge of the Second District Court, with Senator Wyler again leading the confirmation process. Nelson, who has served as a deputy county attorney and has experience in various legal roles, was confirmed unanimously by the Senate with a vote of 22-0.

In addition to judicial appointments, the Senate discussed various appointments to boards and commissions, including the Air Quality Board and the Board of Pardons and Parole. These appointments were also confirmed without opposition.
