Senate passes four key budget bills including higher education and economic development funding

Senator McHale introduced House Bill 4, which provides $454 million for business economic development and labor. This budget includes a grant program for heritage and arts, aimed at supporting ongoing and capital expenses. The bill also passed unanimously.

House Bill 6, presented by Senator Wilson, allocates $335 million for infrastructure and general government. This budget supports various agencies, including the Department of Transportation and the Capital Budget. It also passed with 26 votes in favor.

Finally, Senator Stevenson discussed House Bill 7, which appropriates $179.1 million for the National Guard, Veterans Affairs, and the legislature. This bill includes significant federal funding and also passed unanimously.
