Utah lawmakers celebrate Lunar New Year and AAPI Day at Capitol

Lunar New Year celebrations took center stage at the Utah Capitol as lawmakers gathered to honor the rich tapestry of Asian American cultures in the state. Representative Dunnegan and fellow legislators kicked off the festivities, highlighting the significance of the occasion, which officially falls on February 1.

With a vibrant community of 80,000 Asian Americans in Utah, the event showcased the diverse cultures that contribute to the state's identity, including Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, and Vietnamese traditions.
