Pepper Pike City Council swears in new officer Kyle Messina

The Pepper Pike City Council meeting on March 27, 2024, celebrated a significant milestone with the swearing-in of new police officer Kyle Messina. The event drew a large crowd, highlighting the community's support for its police department.

Mayor Long introduced Messina, who was surrounded by family, friends, and a strong presence from the Pepper Pike Police and Fire Department. The mayor shared that Messina, a Wycliffe native and graduate of Mentor High School, holds a master’s degree in homeland security, earned in 2023. He recently completed training at the Bridal Police Academy and is currently undergoing field training with the department.

Mayor Long expressed confidence in Messina's abilities, stating, "He’s going to make an excellent addition to our department." The ceremony underscored the community's commitment to public safety and the importance of welcoming dedicated individuals into service.
