UOG boosts Guam's economy and pandemic response under leadership of doctor Anita

The recent investiture ceremony for Dr. Anita Borja Enriquez as the 12th President of the University of Guam (UOG) highlighted the institution's vital role in the community, especially during the pandemic. Dr. Enriquez's leadership was credited with helping to maintain a significantly lower rate of COVID-19 infections and deaths on the island compared to the national average. This achievement was made possible through strong partnerships with local leaders and community members.

Dr. Enriquez, a first-generation college graduate and experienced businesswoman, has been recognized as a role model for students. Her diverse background allows her to effectively bridge the gap between academia and the business world, enhancing UOG's mission of enlightenment, discovery, and service. The university recently celebrated its 70th anniversary, showcasing its contributions to Guam and the region, including a nationally recognized exhibit at the Guam Museum.

UOG has consistently produced high-quality graduates in essential fields such as education, healthcare, and business, preparing them for competitive graduate programs.
