Riverside County honors four employees for 25 years of dedicated service

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors celebrated the remarkable dedication of county employees during their regular meeting on March 19, 2024, honoring four individuals who have each achieved 25 years of service. This milestone reflects not only their commitment to the county but also their significant contributions to the community.

The ceremony highlighted the achievements of Brian McGavin from the Emergency Management Department, who has dedicated a total of 48 years to public service, beginning his career as an EMT in 1976. His extensive work includes developing critical emergency management plans, earning a master’s degree in the field, and leading the county's emergency management program accreditation project to success last year.

In addition to McGavin, the meeting recognized Johnny Perez from the Mental Health Department and Victor Regalado from the Probation Department. Regalado was particularly noted for his irreplaceable presence and deep connections with both youth and staff, leaving a lasting impact on those he served.

The Board expressed gratitude for the dedication of these employees, emphasizing the importance of their roles in enhancing community welfare. The meeting concluded with a collective appreciation for all honorees, reinforcing the value of long-term service in Riverside County.
