Yarmouth Conservation Commission approves plan revision for flood zone construction

The Yarmouth Conservation Commission convened on December 19, 2024, to discuss a significant request for a minor plan revision concerning a residential construction project. The meeting, held in compliance with state laws regarding public access, welcomed both in-person and virtual attendees.

The primary focus was on a proposal from Kieran Healy of BSC Group, representing property owners Denise and Joseph Champagne. The request aimed to modify an already approved plan for a single-family dwelling located within a flood zone at 19 Crowell Road. The revision includes enlarging the house and adding a pool at the rear, while maintaining the same grading footprint as previously approved.

Healy assured the commission that the site design incorporates swales and trench drains to manage surface water runoff effectively, ensuring that water remains on the property. The commission members had no further questions, and after a brief discussion, the board unanimously approved the plan revision dated October 29, 2024.
