Sheriff Association discusses $50 daily reimbursement to improve law enforcement salaries

During a recent meeting of the Arkansas Senate Judiciary Committee, discussions centered on the critical issue of law enforcement pay and funding, highlighting the financial challenges faced by counties in retaining qualified personnel. For instance, a daily rate of $53 could result in over $16 million, translating to approximately $3,000 in raises for each of the 100 employees in White County alone.
