Senate passes Family Treatment Specialty Court bill to support struggling families

Additionally, the committee heard from Kristen Clark of the Administrative Office of the Courts, who presented a bill to establish a family treatment specialty court within the juvenile division of circuit court. This initiative, developed by the Specialty Court Program Advisory Committee, aims to keep families together and provide necessary support to parents facing challenges. Clark shared a personal story to illustrate the importance of family stability, reinforcing the bill's objective to strengthen family units and improve societal outcomes.
