Accessibility and Complete Streets Take Center Stage at Cape Cod MPO Meeting

During the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization meeting on September 18, 2023, a strong emphasis was placed on ensuring that all transportation projects meet accessibility standards and adhere to the latest MassDOT engineering directives. The discussions highlighted the importance of integrating both walking and biking accommodations in project designs, with a clear preference for sidewalks on both sides of streets and marked or separated bike lanes.

Miranda confirmed that the school could apply, provided it receives public funding and has been a Safe Routes partner, with the lead municipality being where the school is located.
