Steph Spadoni presents Cape Cod RTA's electric vehicle transition plan update

Cape Cod's efforts to transition to electric vehicles are gaining momentum as the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (RTA) prepares to finalize its zero-emission vehicle study and transition plan by the end of October. During the recent Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization meeting, Steph Spadoni from the RTA provided an update on the ongoing electrification initiatives.

The study has yielded valuable insights, including specific timelines for converting transit vehicles to electric, recommendations for on-road charging infrastructure locations, and a tool for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions over time. Spadoni emphasized that updates from the study are shared monthly through the RTA's zero-emission vehicle newsletter, ensuring that the community stays informed about the progress and future steps in the electrification process.
