Trinity Episcopal Church wraps up successful homeless shelter initiative in Janesville

Trinity Episcopal Church has wrapped up a successful two-week stint providing meals and support at the men's homeless shelter in Janesville, with church members praising the rewarding experience. Supervisor Belkey expressed gratitude to fellow supervisors and facilities director Brent Sutherland for their contributions, highlighting the positive impact of community involvement on perceptions of homelessness.

In another initiative, Supervisors Belkey and Pennycook announced a book drive for the new jail, seeking paperback mystery and self-help books. Donations can be dropped off at Southern Exposure, located at 1617 West Court Street.

The meeting also addressed the ongoing recruitment process for a new County Administrator. Supervisors were encouraged to stay informed through a timeline that outlines the steps taken so far and upcoming actions. The board emphasized transparency and collaboration, inviting input from all supervisors as the process progresses.

Additionally, there will be a new procedure for submitting resolutions to ensure timely processing. A packet detailing these procedures will be distributed to supervisors soon.
