City Council approves Twin Silos subdivision and dental office plans

The Muskego Plan Commission made significant strides in community development during its meeting on November 6, 2024, approving several key resolutions that will enhance local infrastructure and services.

One of the standout decisions was the unanimous approval of a metal accessory structure for Peter Jewell, located at 16812 Greenridge Veil. This approval comes after a recent land split, allowing for the construction of a new home on the property. The existing metal building will remain as is, as it is situated far from the new house and is well-hidden by tree lines, ensuring it does not detract from the area’s aesthetics. The commission emphasized that this decision was primarily a waiver to allow the outbuilding to remain despite the new home’s construction.

In another significant move, the commission approved the final plat for the Twin Silos Subdivision, located off Test Corners Drive. This subdivision will consist of nine lots and one outlot, and is nearing completion with roads, curbing, and utilities already in place. The final plat closely resembles the preliminary plat, with only minor adjustments made to the rear lot lines of two lots, resulting in slightly larger properties. The approval is contingent upon the completion of a technical review by city engineers.

Additionally, the commission approved a building site and operation plan for Muskegon Dental, which will establish a new dental office at 17587 Janesville Road. This development is expected to enhance local healthcare services and provide greater access to dental care for residents.
