Jasper City Council approves annexation request for Liberty Lane development

The Pickens County Board of Commissioners made a significant move during their April 15 meeting, approving an annexation request from the City of Jasper for the property at 490 Liberty Lane. This parcel, currently owned by Jasper's downtown development authority, is home to the city's water tower and has been city property for many years.
