Museum extends summer hours to meet growing visitor demand

The Needles City Council meeting on March 28, 2023, highlighted key developments regarding local tourism and community amenities. Traditionally closed from June until after Labor Day, the museum will now operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 12 PM. In addition to the museum's extended hours, the council discussed the upcoming Needles Rodeo, scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Pastor Jim Jones addressed the council regarding the need for additional restroom facilities at Santa Fe Park. He emphasized the importance of providing comfort for tourists and suggested that building restrooms could enhance the park's appeal. Jones noted that there are existing public restrooms at various local parks and proposed that the city explore grant opportunities to fund this initiative.
