Downtown Lock Haven plans Triangle Park activities for Small Business Appreciation Week

During the recent Lock Haven City Council meeting, a proposal to utilize Triangle Park for Small Business Appreciation Week was presented, highlighting a community-focused initiative aimed at supporting local businesses. The plan includes placing giant letters in the park that spell out "We Are LH," inviting residents to use chalk to write messages of support for their favorite businesses throughout the week.

Additionally, the council discussed plans to hang a promotional sign on the East Maiden Street parking lot fence from May to October, which will provide information about the upcoming farmer's market and its schedule. This effort aims to enhance community engagement and encourage residents to participate in local events.

The meeting also featured an update on Side Street Saturday, which is set to move to the Station Gallery. This change will eliminate the need for street closures along Bridal Axe, allowing for a more collaborative event involving local establishments such as Dutch Haven, Village Tavern, and Broken Axe. Scheduled for June 11, July 9, and September 10, these events will feature music, drinks, and food, fostering a vibrant atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.
