Clear Lake Council approves housing assistance for cash fire victims

The City of Clearlake City Council convened on September 2, 2021, to address several pressing issues, including emergency housing assistance for fire victims and a proclamation recognizing September as Senior Center Month.

In an update on the Cache fire, City Manager Flora reported that the emergency shelter had closed, and efforts were underway to find temporary accommodations for those affected. He noted the challenges in tracking the needs of displaced individuals and highlighted the importance of ongoing assistance, especially as state and federal declarations for disaster relief were still pending.
