Clear Lake Police Department welcomes new officers and promotes Sergeant Peralta

The City of Clearlake celebrated significant milestones in its police department during the October 7, 2021, City Council meeting, highlighting new hires and a promotion that underscore the department's commitment to community safety.

Three new officers were ceremoniously sworn in: Officer Segoviano, Officer Perry, and Sergeant Peralta. Officer Segoviano, a graduate of California State University, Fresno, shared his journey from a police trainee to a full-fledged officer, thanking his fiancée and family for their unwavering support. Officer Perry, a Clear Lake native, returned to his hometown after serving with the San Diego Police Department, eager to contribute to the community he loves. He also serves as a pastor, emphasizing his commitment to enhancing the quality of life in Clearlake.

Sergeant Michael Peralta was recognized for his promotion, having built a commendable career in law enforcement since 2007. His accolades include multiple awards for traffic enforcement and a leadership role as president of the Police Officers Association. His promotion to sergeant reflects the high regard his peers hold for him.

The meeting concluded with the badge-pinning ceremony, where family members participated in honoring the new officers.
