Clear Lake swears in new police officer Brady Ferris Crenshaw

The City of Clearlake welcomed its newest police officer, Brady Ferris Crenshaw, during a ceremonial swearing-in at the City Council meeting on February 3, 2022. Officer Crenshaw, a native of Lancaster and raised in Fresno, expressed his excitement about joining the community, highlighting the town's supportive relationship with law enforcement.

Mayor and council members praised Crenshaw's commitment to serving the community, noting his aspirations to work in the canine program or as a detective in the future. The ceremony included a heartfelt moment as Crenshaw's family, including his two-year-old daughter Joy, participated in pinning his badge, symbolizing the support he has from loved ones as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.

In addition to the swearing-in, the council addressed changes to the meeting agenda, specifically pulling item number 9 due to excessive and unwarranted change orders related to a project. The council unanimously approved the revised agenda, ensuring that the meeting proceeded smoothly.
