Clear Lake Council approves MOA for community development project with ELM Tribe

A major development project aimed at enhancing the Clear Lake Restoration District is set to wrap up by early 2024, promising significant economic benefits and job creation for the city. During the City Council meeting on December 7, 2023, officials expressed optimism about the project's potential to support local businesses and boost tourism.

Councilmember Sloane raised a crucial point regarding the inclusion of a boat fueling station at the new site, which would serve the nearby Redbird boat ramp. While the current plans do not include this feature, city leaders acknowledged the importance of considering it as they finalize the design. The site is spacious enough to accommodate large vehicles, ensuring that boaters can access the area without causing traffic congestion.

The project will also feature ten fuel pumps and charging stations, strategically located for easy access. Council members highlighted the need for clear visual plans to help the community understand the layout and benefits of the development.
