Middletown Township reviews Cirque Entertainment's conditional use for October circus event

A thrilling circus event is set to take place at the Oxford Valley Mall from October 6 to October 9, 2022, as the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors approved a conditional use application for Cirque Entertainment 3, LLC. The circus, themed around Halloween, promises an exciting lineup of acrobatic performances and a haunted maze experience, all without the use of animals.

During the meeting, township officials discussed the necessary approvals for the temporary community event, which will be held in the mall's parking lot. The event will feature six shows over four days, with performances scheduled for Thursday through Sunday. Benjamin Holland, a representative from Cirque Entertainment, detailed the event's offerings, highlighting the acrobatic acts and a magician, all designed to entertain families and thrill-seekers alike.

The township's Planning Commission recommended approval for the event, contingent upon compliance with zoning ordinances and the posting of a $3,000 escrow to cover emergency services costs. The event has already garnered support from the mall management, ensuring a smooth execution.
