City Council approves $3.4M water line replacement project funding

The City of Crockett Council made significant strides towards enhancing its water infrastructure during their recent meeting on March 22, 2022. Financial adviser Ben Rosenberg from US Capital Advisors presented the sale summary for the certification of obligation series 2022, highlighting that the city will receive $1.7 million in principal forgiveness and an additional $1.74 million at zero interest. This funding arrangement is part of the Texas Water Development Board's drinking water state revolving fund, marking a significant financial benefit for the city.

In addition to the water project, the council received updates on local fire responses. During the reporting period, there were no structure fires within the city, although three incidents occurred in the county. This positive news was met with gratitude from council members, who acknowledged the efforts of local firefighters.
