Melita Kitchen elected Chair of Professional Standards Board for another term

The Professional Standards Board of the Maryland Department of Education has appointed Melita Kitchen as its new chair for the upcoming year, following a unanimous vote during their meeting on October 8, 2023. Kitchen, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the committee again, emphasized her commitment to the role, reflecting on her journey since joining the board.

In addition to Kitchen's appointment, Darren Hornbeck was elected as the vice chair, also receiving unanimous support from the board members.
