Maryland educators gather for regional diversity discussion and poll results

During the Educator Virtual Roundtable hosted by MSDE TV on January 25, 2023, a diverse group of educators from across Maryland gathered to share insights and experiences. The meeting highlighted the regional representation of participants, showcasing educators from Western, Central, Southern, and Eastern Maryland, including notable districts such as Baltimore City, Frederick County, and Montgomery County.

The session began with a check-in on poll results, revealing a broad spectrum of grade levels represented, from pre-kindergarten to high school. This diversity underscores the collaborative spirit among educators, as they come together to discuss various educational topics and share best practices. Although the anticipated guest, Beryl Dutney, the newly appointed Teacher of the Year for Maryland, was unable to attend due to illness, her presence was felt as participants expressed their well-wishes for her recovery.
