Tanaquin Excel students highlight community service projects and leadership development

During the Washington County School District's recent meeting, students from the Excel class at Tanaquin showcased their commitment to community service, highlighting the positive impact of their program. Led by teacher Mrs. Weiser, the students passionately discussed their involvement in various service projects, including a food drive aimed at assisting those in need.

One student, Sunset, expressed, "I love the Excel class because it gives us opportunities to help others in need." This sentiment was echoed by classmates Kevin and Mason, who emphasized the importance of supporting their school and community. Kevin noted, "We could help people in need, the people that don't have food," while Mason added that their efforts aim to "make this school a better place for future students."

Mrs. Weiser praised her students for their motivation and teamwork, stating, "It's just a great group of kids who are willing to do hard things."
