Bronx community center plans modernization overhaul for kitchen and gym improvements

During a recent Special City Council Meeting in Soledad, the council addressed the urgent need for modernization of the Resolve Ave Community Center, originally built in 1993. Despite various repairs over the years, city officials emphasized that a comprehensive overhaul is necessary to bring the facility up to current standards.

City staff announced plans to seek qualified firms for the community center modernization project through a bidding process. The advertisement for bids was released in late February, with a closing date set for March 21, 2024. This initiative reflects the city's commitment to improving community resources and ensuring that public facilities meet the needs of residents.
