Clay County honors veterans with green lights for National Veterans Week

The Clay County Board of County Commissioners made headlines during their November meeting by adopting a proclamation to honor veterans and recognize National Adoption Month.

In a heartfelt moment, the board discussed their initiative to illuminate public buildings in green to celebrate Veterans Week. This year marks the first time Clay County has participated in this nationwide effort, aiming to honor veterans in a unique way. "We're trying to honor the veterans in a different way this year," a board member stated, highlighting the green lights adorning the courthouse and the Admin Building.
