Frontier Middle School honors Jessica Dee and Fred Heaton for resilience and achievement

Resilience and inspiration took center stage at the Alpine School Board meeting on October 12, 2021, as the board recognized two exceptional students from Frontier Middle School: Jessica Dee and Fred Heaton. Their remarkable contributions to their school community were celebrated, highlighting their ability to uplift those around them.

Jessica Dee, a dedicated member of the student council, has shown incredible perseverance, even while navigating the challenges of quarantine. Principal Jerome Baker praised her as the "sweetest, most grateful student ever," noting her commitment to maintaining communication with the school and excelling academically despite her circumstances. Jessica's talents extend beyond academics; she plays the ukulele and actively seeks ways to engage her peers in creative activities.

Fred Heaton, recognized as one of the top 30 mountain bike competitors in Utah, also excels in the classroom. His ability to balance sports, family commitments, and academics has made him a standout student. The board expressed gratitude to both students for their positive impact and acknowledged the support from their teachers, families, and friends in fostering a nurturing learning environment.
