La Grange honors Sergeant Steve Lubanko's 24 years of dedicated police service

Sergeant Lubanko, who joined the La Grange Police Department in 1999 after two years with the Chicago Police Department, was recognized for his extensive contributions to the community. He was promoted to sergeant in 2015 and appointed as watch commander in 2019. Throughout his career, Lubanko has held various roles, including patrol officer, DARE instructor, and investigator, and has received numerous commendations for his service. The board unanimously passed a resolution expressing gratitude for his commitment and professionalism, wishing him well in his retirement.

In addition to honoring Lubanko, the meeting included the promotion of Officer Scott Wolf to sergeant. Wolf, a 15-year veteran of the La Grange Police Department, has served in multiple capacities, including field training officer and squad leader. His promotion was formalized with an oath of office, marking a new chapter in his career. The board acknowledged Wolf's dedication and leadership, expressing confidence in his continued service to the community.
