Community honors late educator Meredith Mynier as Montblanc celebrates state championship wins

The community of Weld is mourning the loss of former RSU 9 staff member Meredith Mynier, who passed away recently. Her legacy as a mentor and friend was highlighted during a government meeting, where attendees expressed their condolences and shared memories of her impact on the community. Meredith leaves behind a family deeply rooted in the local school system, including her son Kyle and daughter Sean, both of whom currently work in education.

In a moment of celebration, the meeting also showcased the dedication of a new mural created by the senior class, now displayed in the gym. This artistic contribution adds to the school’s vibrant atmosphere and reflects the pride of the students.

Additionally, the meeting recognized the impressive achievements of the Nordic team, which not only clinched the state championship but also received the sportsmanship award, a rare double victory that underscores the character and dedication of the athletes representing Montblanc.
