City honors veterans with ceremony featuring Colonel Juan Mora and special flyover on November 11

Christian Jones and Melissa Barnwell Scott were officially sworn in during the Pasadena City Council meeting on October 28, 2024, marking a significant moment for the city's governance. The event will pay special tribute to the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Division Marines, who are set to be deployed for a year-long duty.

Colonel Juan Mora, Chief of Staff of the 40th Infantry Division, will serve as the special guest speaker, alongside remarks from Army veteran James Zemner, director of the Los Angeles County Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
