Graduation Day Celebrates Resilience and Achievement of Class of 2022

The Skyridge High School class of 2022 celebrated their graduation in a heartfelt ceremony marked by reflections on resilience, integrity, and community. Senior class president Olivia Pedersen welcomed attendees, including school officials and local representatives, and recognized the achievements of 70 Falcon Scholars, who exemplified academic excellence.

The ceremony featured speeches from student council members, who emphasized the importance of the school's pillars: grit, respect, and integrity. They shared personal anecdotes highlighting their high school experiences, particularly the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The students encouraged their peers to carry forward the lessons learned during their time at Skyridge, focusing on the values of hard work and dedication.

The ceremony concluded with a performance by the advanced wind symphony, followed by remarks from Principal John Walwick and school board member Stacy Bateman, celebrating the accomplishments of the graduating class and their readiness to soar into the future.
