Lone Peak graduates celebrate resilience and achievement

In a heartfelt ceremony at the Marriott Center, Lone Peak High School celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2022, marking a significant milestone for the 800 graduates who have navigated their high school years through unprecedented challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The event commenced with a stirring performance of the national anthem by seniors Micah Shinsato, Ashley Foot, and Lily Waters, setting a tone of pride and accomplishment.

Amber Bonner, the Lone Peak cluster representative of the Alpine School District Board of Education, delivered an inspiring address, encouraging graduates to embrace their future with confidence and creativity. She emphasized the importance of using the knowledge and skills acquired during their education to make a positive impact on the world. \"You have the chance to make something new out of your life and to become whatever you wish to be,\" Bonner stated, quoting Dr. Seuss to highlight the power of choice and self-direction.

The ceremony also featured performances by the Lone Peak High School Advanced Wind Ensemble and speeches from class salutatorians Benjamin Bagley and Braden Johnson, culminating in remarks from valedictorian Carly Princeter.
