City council faces scrutiny over controversial maintenance contract

City Attorney responded to Haskell's comments, assuring the council that the proposed contract was legally sound and that there were no grounds to halt its approval. Following this discussion, the council moved forward with a motion to approve the consent calendar, which passed with a vote of four in favor and one abstention.

The meeting also included a public hearing regarding the formation of CFD number 65 for the Crest in Libya area. The city clerk confirmed that no written protests had been received, and the public hearing was opened for comments. After reviewing the necessary reports and confirming that the county registrar had certified no registered voters within the territory, the council proceeded to vote on the formation of the CFD, which also passed unanimously.
