During a recent government meeting, officials addressed a significant feral cat issue reported on Walnut Boulevard. Community member Adam has been instrumental in addressing this problem by trapping feral cats and facilitating their relocation. Notably, he has successfully placed a mother cat and her kittens at the Animal Protective League (APL) and has arranged for other cats to be relocated to farms after they are spayed.
In the past year, local residents have actively participated in the effort, successfully catching and rehoming 78 feral cats to nearby farms. Additionally, Adam has coordinated the rehoming of 15 cats to Spain in just the last month, highlighting the ongoing nature of this initiative.
The meeting underscored the importance of recognizing the efforts of city workers and community members who contribute to addressing local issues, such as the feral cat population.
