Mustaches for Kids raises over 750000 for local children

During a recent city council meeting, Fullerton Mayor Nicholas Dunlap and council members honored the charitable organization Mustaches for Kids for its significant contributions to local children's charities. Tim Kearns, president of the organization, shared that since its inception in 2018, Mustaches for Kids has grown from a small group of participants to 108 members, raising over $750,000 for various causes in Orange County.

This year, the organization has partnered with Beyond Blindness in Santa Ana, aiming to raise $150,000, with current donations reaching $112,000 as they enter the final week of fundraising. Kearns emphasized the group's commitment to community service and changing perceptions of charity among men.

Mayor Dunlap presented a proclamation recognizing Mustaches for Kids for its innovative fundraising efforts, which involve participants growing mustaches to encourage donations from friends and family. The proclamation highlighted the positive impact the organization has had on countless young individuals and their families.

Following this recognition, the council moved on to honor participants from the Fullerton School District's National Speech and Debate competition, showcasing the city's commitment to celebrating local achievements in various fields.
