City approves major grant for Main Street revitalization

During a recent government meeting, city officials discussed the expansion of the Commercial Facade Rehabilitation Grant Program, which currently supports properties on Main Street and Cassidy, with plans to extend eligibility to Livingston. The program allows for grants covering up to 35% of facade improvements, with a maximum funding amount of $10,000 per applicant.

The meeting highlighted a specific application for a project at 2741 East Main Street, which includes various exterior enhancements such as metal patio railings, window lintels, stucco repairs, new storefront windows, and landscaping. The proposal received unanimous support from the Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning (BZAP), with members expressing confidence in the project's potential to improve the area.
